![]() ![]() 3 The album was a huge success in Denmark achieving a spot at No. 4 The line-up for the album consisted of Michael Poulsen (vocals), Jon Larsen (drums), Franz Gottschalk (guitar) and Anders Kjlholm (bass). Ever since he arrived, Michael's gone so commercial. Volbeat released their first album, The Strength/The Sound/The Songs in 2005. The album was preceded by four singles: 'Wait a Minute My Girl', 'Dagen Fr' (featuring Stine Bramsen ), 'Shotgun Blues', and 'Becoming'. The album was released on 3 December 2021 through Vertigo, Republic, and Universal Records. Even that Franz dude before Tomas seemed cool. Servant of the Mind is the eighth studio album by Danish rock band Volbeat. I want the Michael from the early days back. It's not even that the other songs were bad because they weren't but they were ejust so commercial with the exception of maybe loas crossroads. There were only like 4 songs on seal the deal that I was all that impressed with (DBC, the title track, gates of Babylon, and you will know). ![]() I can't say that i blame him for wanting that, but I wish he'd go back to the old stuff. The last two albums were for money and commercial success. I've always struggled with mental health issues and imagining Michael walking around in his brown trench coat with his guitar on a lonely road singing about his depression always comforted me. For me, there is old Volbeat (strength sound and songs all the way to above heaven/beyond hell) and there is new Volbeat (outlaw gentlemen and seal the deal). Michael is my hero but I really wish he would have made some different decisions on the last two records. I've been a fan since early in my senior year of highschool and I'm 24 now so it's been over 6 years for me.
